NumBots is all about every child achieving the “triple win” of understanding, recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction, so that they move from counting to calculating. All pupils from Reception to Y3 are encouraged to play Numbots for at least 3 minutes a day, 4 or 5 times a week - at home or at school.
As they progress, pupils collect achievement badges and unlock hundreds of new levels and challenges. Stage certificates are awarded in assemblies each week and celebrated through our weekly newsletter.Pupils are encouraged to help RustyBot upgrade from Rust to Diamond - so he can shine inside and out. Diamond award winners are awarded a Numbots badge in assembly.
Times tables rockstars is a sequenced programme of timestables practice that pupils in Y2/3, Y4/5 and Y5/6 take part in weekly. Using a variety of paper based and online questions, children earn bronze, silver and gold badges which are presented in assembly and weekly newsletters.
Children who play for 15 minutes, three to four times a week have significantly improved their speed, recall accuracy and confidence with multiplication and division facts.
We compete termly with other local schools through the Lichfield Schools TTRS Competition.
