Science At SS Peter and Paul
Good science happens at our school when we inspire curiosity through active practical inquiry which relates to the real world we live in and beyond.
Our principles:
· Scientific enquiry is at the heart of science teaching and learning.
· Children’s curiosity is valued, and they are eager to learn.
· Investigative skills are developed progressively across the school.
· Correct scientific language and knowledge is used by all.
· Children regularly and safely use a range of practical and digital resources, information texts and the outdoor environment.
· Assessment helps pupils move forward in their learning.
· Children think science is important in their lives, now and in the future.
SEPTEMBER 2023-24 - We are working on Cycle 2.

30th Anniversary: British Science Week 2024! Congratulations to the British Science Association and UK Research & Innovation as 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of British Science Week.
British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. In school, we have been busy joining webinars with scientists and engineers and talking about a range of jobs in science. We have been lucky enough to have several scientists come into school to lead workshops for us. We have had lots of opportunities to explore our scientific ideas and increase our science knowledge. Our poster competition is on the theme of 'Time.' |
