​Today we had a visit from Professor McGinty took us back in time to 429BC where we enjoyed an interactive workshop about Ancient Greece. We looked at the importance of Gods and explored the artefacts from Ancient Greece including everyday items from jugs, writing pads, toys, musical instruments and coins. Several children had the opportunity to get dressed in Ancient Greek clothing and we discussed the role of men and women in society. We explored buildings, education, trade and slavery. We also investigated the role of war in Ancient Greece and the armour they wore.
