Class learning for Y1/2 during Covid-19 School Closure
Hello children! - Week commencing Monday 29th June
Science and Writing
Week 5 of the science project, 'Describe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, including pets)' is to think about how animals stay alive, especially concentrating on food. Think about the animals we have looked at so far and think about what they eat - do they eat meat (other animals) or just plants, seeds, trees, vegetables, or do they eat both? See if you can find out what the following animals eat and group them under the headings of 'carnivore' (meat eaters); 'herbivores' (plants, trees, seeds, vegetables) or 'omnivore' (eat both meat and plants): cow, horse, rabbit, mouse, squirrel, elephant, caterpillar, goat, sheep, fox, dragonfly, barn owl, otter, wolf, lion, tiger, bear, frog, chicken, badger, hedgehog, blackbird.
