Our two’s room (Teenie Weenie Little Learners) has a big advantage of having a small group of 8 children with two members of staff each session. We feel this is a lovely opportunity for both staff members to spend more time and get to know the children well. We offer high quality flexible early education to all children.
Our Nursery is a happy and busy environment with experienced staff who are passionate about the welfare and education of the children in our care. Each child is unique and is supported in reaching their own full potential.
We are a child centred nursery, which means that children spend much of their day engaged in self-directed learning based around topics of interest and seasonal events. The majority of the day is free-flow, meaning children choose to engage in a range of different activities, indoors and outdoors. Children can work independently or with their friends, as well as taking part in adult facilitated activities that are planned from children's interests and developmental needs.

We believe that at this young age, children learn best through a fun and play-based curriculum. Our experienced staff support and engage with children in their play to promote further learning opportunities. Each day the learning environment is set out to promote engagement in all three Prime areas, Personal, social and emotional development (PSED), Communication and language (CL), and Physical development (PD). Within the classroom we have a lovely home corner, a carpet area for self-chosen activities, a mark making/ creative area, an investigation table to explore natural items, we also have a tuff tray for lots of messy fun activities. Our outdoor area offers more physical opportunities with a slide and small bikes for the children to learn and enjoy.
Our nursery sessions are offered as a choice of mornings 8.45-11.45 or Afternoons 12.30-3.30. If you are eligible for 15 hours think2 funding you may get a voucher through the post to activate on the think2 website. We also offer a paying option.
It is our belief that parents, carers and families are fundamental in children reaching their full potential both at school and whilst at home. A good partnership helps early years practitioners to tailor their service around the specific needs of the child in their care. Parents are experts on their children and through positive communication with the parent/carer/family, the practitioners can gather all sorts of information that would otherwise not have been available to them. We also send a variety of first day pictures through email. The lines of communication are always open to parents through weekly emails of the child's proud moments; along with in person meetings or via telephone. Parents are encouraged to share achievements, special occasions and items for talking points. They are invited in to school regularly to spend time with their children within the learning environment.
