In our Nursery Room (Little Learners) we offer high quality flexible early education to children aged 3-4 years.
Our Nursery is a happy and busy environment with experienced staff who are passionate about the welfare and education of the children in our care. Each child is unique and is supported in reaching their own full potential.
We are a child centred nursery, which means that children spend much of their day engaged in self-directed learning based around topics of interest and seasonal events. The majority of the day is free-flow, meaning children choose to engage in a range of different activities, both indoors and outdoors. Children can work independently or with their friends, as well as taking part in adult facilitated activities that are planned from children's interests and developmental needs.

We believe that at this young age, children learn best through a fun and play-based curriculum. Our experienced staff team support and engage with children in their play to promote social interaction, language development and further learning opportunities.
Each day the learning environment is set out to promote engagement in all of the seven areas of learning as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework. Within the classroom we have a cosy reading area, a carpet area for self-chosen activities, a construction table, a mark making/writing area, a funky fingers area, a creative/messy area and an area for adult led activities. Our shared outdoor area offers different experiences and opportunities to learn whilst still following our early years’ curriculum.
Sessions are offered flexibly to support parents needs and extended funded sessions (30 hours) can also be used in our Breakfast and After School Club facility. Universal funding (15 Hours) must be used in our nursery provision over the course of a week.

It is our belief that parents, carers and families are fundamental in children reaching their full potential both at school and whilst at home. A good partnership helps early years practitioners to tailor our service around the specific needs of the child in their care. Parents are experts on their children and through positive communication with the parent/carer/family, the practitioners can gather all sorts of information that would otherwise not have been available to them. The lines of communication are always open to our parents through our staff email, in-person meetings or via the telephone. Parents are encouraged to share achievements, special occasions and items for talking points. They are also invited in to school regularly to spend time with their children within the learning environment.
